why doesn't the page fit the screen for some browsers?

Occassionally I have browsers on my site who state that there is a blank space down one side, asking me to adjust my settings.

I am under the assumption that the Ctrl button and the roller button in centre of mouse work together to adjust the size of the page. But am not sure if this reltes to the issue that some have when visitng my website.

I did not find what you are describing but I did find missing photos on this page: lyricalessencehome/ welcomingspiritoffei (I'm not able to post a link as I am new to the forumns).

What browser were your users reporting the design issue from?

Also I would strongly recommend placing more html text on your homepage for the search engines.  I appreciate a clean homepage but you stand to use a bit more content.
