I would greatly appreciate feedback on my website. I am also looking at ways to increase locating my site online. Any help with this would be great. Thanks in advance. My company is named Life Assist, LLC and my site is lifeassistpro.

First of all, the site itself looks great. Congratulations.

You had asked about SEO. The first issue that I noticed is name collision with another organization at http://www.life-assist.com/

The next thing that I found was a lot of markup errors. Search engines prefer standards compliant HTML when parsing/spidering your pages. You can validate your markup here.

There are a lot of difference offerings out there that will promote your site to the various search engines, thus increasing search visibility. Network Solutions is your ISP and they provide services to that affect. You can also register your site with the varous search engines directly.

There are all kinds of SEO tips and tricks that you can read up on in various places throughout the web. Your HTML already is doing a good job with this. You use the description and keywords meta tags. You use header tags. All that I can suggest here is to make sure that you surface the trigger words and make sure that those words are included in your header tags, especially on the landing pages. It looks like you use H1 for your company name everywhere. That's great if someone searches on your company name but most people will be searching for a service that you provide. Consider putting your most popular services in the H1 tags on the landing pages.

    Laura,

After reviewing your site here are a few of my thoughts. I like your navigation, it is very simple, clear and easy to use. For the most part, your site is set up to be rather search engine friendly. You have some Javascript on the page that could stand to be put into an external file, if possible, but it really doesn't look to bad from the perspective of a search engine spider.

Also I get a pretty clear sense from your homepage what your business is and what you offer, so you do a good job of communicating that message there.

I do have a few suggestions that may help you.

Page Titles (info at the top of your browser bar) - right now you are not using your titles to their fullest potential. For example, one of your page title's is 'jobswithlifeassist.com'. Instead of using that approach, integrate one or two important keyword phrases that are relevant to that page in addition to the name of your website. For an example on how to do this, take a look at how this site (MySolutionSpot) handles their page titles. The page title should be in between 6-12 words, and include your company or website name.

You have your phone number prominently displayed on every page. That is fantastic. Research shows that users feel much more comfortable on sites that offer a phone number because it gives the perception of legitimacy of the business. Showing your email address is great too, but you have it as a direct text link. Spammers often crawl sites for their email addresses and use them for tons of email spam, so you will want to avoid this if possible. There are two ways that come to mind to do this. The first is to make your email address an actual image as opposed to a text link. The second option is to hide it behind a little Javascript. There are numerous scripts out there that will do this for you, here is an example of one.

While you give a first time user a good sense of what you do from the homepage, consider adding a little more text describing what you do. 250 words might be good and use a few of the keywords that you are trying to target. (I noticed for your pages you have the meta description and keywords filled out, that is good.) As for the keywords you are targeting, I think some of them may be highly competitive words i.e. event planning, consider trying to find some niche keywords that you would have a better chance competing for rankings.

Consider getting a logo designed. It is usually around $500 or less to get this, but it works wonders for building a brand and giving your site a more polished and professional look. It even gives you the opportunity to create business cards and other things using that logo.

Use consistent font color and style. You have about two different types of font on each of your pages. I would suggest choosing one and also staying away from Times New Roman.

Lastly, for legal purposes, I would consider adding a 'Copyright © LifeAssistPro 2008' at the bottom of your pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Laura,

Overall I like your site.  Its easy to use and I know exactly what your business has to offer after visiting the site.  I really agree with Julia that you should consider having a logo designed.  Not only does it give your site a more polished and professional look, but it also gives people something to recognize your business by, it will help to express your business's character or attitude, and it will also help to convey a feeling of familiarity and credibility towards your business.
