Hello all,
Please take a look at my web site <http://www.mnmwebworks.com> and tell me what you think. I've purposely put my portfolio on the home page to focus on my work, but I'm not sure that it's the right thing now.
Thanks,
Matthew

Overall I think you have a great site.
The one thing that bothered me was the choice of font for your slogan (if that's what you want to call it). It's a difficult font to read. I was having to really focus on the words to determine what they were. The content text is a little small for me and doesn't seem to be crisp and clean as it could be.
The menu idea at the top right is unique, but I am not sure about the slide out effect on mouse-over. For just the everyday user, that is looking for someone to design a site, might over look this.
The portfolio on your home page, absolutley not. Keep in mind the home page is the first contact and selling point you have. Sell yourself and/or company. I think you know this since you have a great portfolio.
Matthew,
I actually really enjoyed your website. I thought it was fun to look through and navigate. The design is incorporated well throughout the entire site. I like how you have used flash to showcase your portfolio and have a page dedicated to explaining the services you offer.
My only suggestion was that on your portfolio page, maybe consider putting the name of the each site with a link to it or at least a small blurb about the site itself or what you did for them. It would be helpful to put some context around the images and examples that you provide.
Other than that I think it looks great!
Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.
Thanks for your critique Julia. On the Portfolio page, are you suggesting that I add a descriptor on the pages, in addition to what comes up when you click the thumbnails and get the pop-up windows? PS - those are done with Javascript and CSS, not Flash!
I now notice the descriptions after you get into the pop ups. I didnt see those before. My suggestion was on the page itself when you are viewing all of the thumbnails to have the content there as well. I just assumed it was flash...i didn't bother to even look at the technology behind it. Either way I like it
Thanks for the feedback. I'll consider adding the site names on the actual portfolio page!
