At http://base.google.com you can create an account that allows you to individually create or use an xml feed to place products in Google's product search engine.

Not only do people agressively use the Google product search engine, if the search term is relevant enough Google will place certain Froogle results in the organic results and highlight them, usually at the top of the results.

This is extremely powerful!

Views on YouTube?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how YouTube counts views? Basically, do they count views:

Only from unique views on YouTube

Include repeat views on YouTube

From embeds in other sites like Facebook

From downloads

And do they cookie or look at IP address, or tracking code for downloads, or something I'm missing??

I'm trying to figure out how they are counting some video views and it isn't making any sense to me.

thanks much!

13,5 billion was spend on SEM last year despite sloppy economy. What surprises me the most is PPC advertising dominated the overall search marketing spend (88%) vs. SEO(11%).

This is taken from my blog, which can be found at www.novelconceptstudio.com/blog

~So you have your web site up and running. You are happy with the way it
looks, and have shown your friends, family and associates. However, you’re
getting 3 hits a day and they are all from people directly entering in your URL.
You go to google and type in your website’s name and nothing shows up. So you
ask yourself, “What is the problem?”

Well, one of the problems is you or your web developer did not submit your
web site to search engines! This may take some time, but it will be worth it. At
Novel Concept Studio, we have a search engine submission package which sends
your site to 90 search engines. This comes as part of our internet marketing package.

The most important search engines are the major ones like google, yahoo, msn,
etc. However, you will want to submit your site to as many as possible as it
will never hurt. Provided that you are on the major search engines, most of the
smaller search engines will pick up on your site automatically.

On many search engines, you will be asked for a sitemap. The sitemap is
important, because when search engines visit your website (aka crawling), they
will need to know where to look. The Sitemap guides the search engines through
your website. This is also how search engines know how to index your website.
Meaning, they will understand the hierarchy of how your website is laid out.
This helps to ensure your sites are properly displayed in search engines.

If you are a developer, or had your web site developed it is important to ask
your developer to incorporate the sitemap. If not, most marketing firms will
also generate one for you. This also comes with our internet marketing package
and is done with the site optimization process.

If you have questions regarding the Search Engine submission process, feel
free to contact us!
