I run damage restoration/janitorial website. I noticed that for myany of my products I use the exact same meta keywords. Will this hurt me?

    example:

Sandia spot 3-gallon Extractor- carpet, tile, grout, carpet, clean, wax, floors, hard surface, extraction

HDP stainguard- carpet, tile, grout, carpet, clean, wax, floors, hard surface, extraction

    Any help will be appreciated!

    James,

I don't think it is going to harm you, but it certainly will not help you. For meta keywords, it is best to choose words that are specific to that  page, not generically applicable to the entire web site. For each product select a few keywords that are relevant and describe the particular product, perhaps synonyms, plurals, and/or similar search terms.

You will also want to make sure that at some of the words that are in your meta keyword tag are found on the page itself. Additionally, try to make sure at least one keyword matches one that is found in the meta description.

These tags help the search engines determine what the particular page is about. So for optimization purposes, it is best to make sure that these tags are relevant to the page you are one and the terms you want to rank for for that particular page.

    I hope this helps!

Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.
