I am sure everyone is aware identity theft is a major crime in the US and the impacts of what it can do to your life. I was watching my local news last week and they did a segment on how you can easily protect your credit and prevent identity theft in the future. Its called a a Security Freeze and for a small fee all three credit bureaus, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax will place a freeze on your credit report preventing anyone that you have not allowed from accessing it.
